The 8th annual Columbus Circle Holiday Market is officially open now through December 24th. Walk a few blocks north from Griffin Court into a winter wonderland on the edge of Central Park South. Grab a cup of hot cocoa from one of the local food vendors and meander through over 100 booths, each offering a wide variety of unique and handmade gifts. Even if you donâ€™t buy anything, simply strolling through the Market is an event unto itself. There are so many perks about living in the heart of New York City. Â Seeing the Macyâ€™s Thanksgiving Day Parade in person is definitely one of them. Each year more than 44 million people have to watch the parade on television. Luckily for residents, this time honored tradition marches just steps away from Griffin Court.

One of the most picturesque activities to do during the winter in New York City is ice skating. There are three ice skating rinks now open within walking distance from Griffin Court: Citi Pond at Bryant Park, The Rink at Rockefeller Center and Wollman Rink in Central Park.
