Alchemy Properties Inc. ("Alchemy"), founded in 1990, is a vertically integrated real estate development, construction management and marketing firm that over the last ten (10) years has developed, constructed and/or sold 1,600,000 square feet of residential space in New York City with sales totaling approximately $1 Billion.Alchemy's principals, Kenneth Horn, Joel Breitkopf and Gerald Davis each bring a distinct expertise to the firm. Horn, an attorney, specializes in locating assets to develop and oversees the marketing effort on each property developing a vast co-brokerage network allowing Alchemy's units to be successfully sold at a rapid pace.
Breitkopf, a former banker, handles the financing of the projects and works closely with our in house construction management team on risk management and to make sure that all of the developments are on schedule and budget.
Davis, an architect, manages all aspects of the physical development of the project including architectural and engineering coordination and the building of the sites.
Alchemy has partnered with Jamestown Properties, AEW Capital Management LLC, Credit Suisse, DLJ Capital Partners, ING Realty, Alcion Ventures and others in its highly successful development business. Alchemy's banks have been HSBC, Bank of America, Commerce, Helaba, PNC, Corus, Arbor, CPC and CSFB. Alchemy is a well known, Manhattan-based, niche developer specializing in boutique residential buildings ranging in size from 50,000 to 150,000 square feet.
